Backpack For Kids: $150 and by donations
Eight (8) backpacks are purchased and then club members donated school supplies to fill each pack. Money left over from the purchase of backpacks is used to fill in needed supplies.
International Literacy Day Baby: $60
The first baby born on International Literacy Day is gifted a membership in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Circle of Success: $600
$60 funds one child’s membership in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This "Library" provides a child with one book every month for five (5) years. Our club sponsors nine (9) children annually. $60 in restricted funds incase a Morning Rotarian has a baby.
Budget
Discovery Middle Level Learning Center: $0
John Graf oversees these funds and has the students work on projects to "earn" the money. This years project is signage and other improvements on Manastash Ridge.
Books Freeing Minds: $ by donations
New and lightly used and new books are donated by club members. Erleen Beckley and Sam Rust review the books for appropriateness, attach a sticker that says the book was donated by Morning Rotary and then gifted to the local jail for inmate use.

Tubs for Tots: $0
Teri Walker puts together theme based "tubs" that are designed as a parent / child activity. The tubs are given to Head Start parents chosen by Charles Hill. There are usually 30 tubs.
Junior Achievement: $0
This is a volunteer teaching project. Materials are provided by JA as needed.
3ed Grade Dictionaries: $0
This is a joint project with the Noon Club. $350 is %50 of the cost to provide dictionaries to all of the 3ed graded classes in Ellensburg.
Budget
Erleen Beckley GED Scholarship Fund: up to $255
It currently cost $85 to administer a GED exam. The Club has approved up to three (3) GED exams annually. Erleen chooses a Kittitas County resident that shows willingness to learn.
Training the Trainer: $2000
Wrap up of Phase One and start of Phase Two. Purchase of two (2) video cameras to record Trainer lessons and materials were delivered to John Dau. IRA memberships for two Sudan trainers (David and Mabior). This Rotary year will see the development of training materials. Matching grants are proposed for phase two (2) in 2010 - 2011.
